Why Detect IgG & IgM
The IgM and IgG are immunoglobulins generated by the human immune system as protection against the virus. Negative patients from the nucleic acid test may be tested IgM positive in IgM, meaning that IgG & IgM detection is more effective in certain conditions in diagnosing Covid-19 when a PCR test even can not tell.
The level of IgM antibody will begin to rise after 1 week from the initial infection, while the IgG appears later than IgM (usually in 14 days after infection) and can continue its presence for 6 months or even several years, therefore IgG is an indicator of a previous infection.
Thus with our IgM and IgG detection kit, suspected patients can be easily identified. Such a technique are also proved to be effective in the outbreak of SARS in 2003 and Zika in 2016.
